Abstract

In September 2013 the city of Banjarmasin experienced deflation of 0.60 percent . From 66 cities in Indonesia , recorded 53 cities experienced deflation , while 13 other cities experiencing inflation . Deflation occurred in Sorong at 4.28 percent and the lowest deflation occurred in the city of Surabaya by 0.02 percent , while the highest inflation in the town of Tanjung Pinang by 1.70 percent and the lowest occurred in Sukabumi and Singkawang 0.04 percent .

Banjarmasin deflation due to falling prices indicated by the decline in the index of foodstuffs of 3.64 percent , and transportation, communications and financial services by 0.55 percent . While the group of food rose by 0.56 percent, housing , water , electricity , gas and fuel rose by 1.19 percent , clothing went up by 2.20 percent, health rose by 0.11 percent, education , recreation and sport rose by 0.21 percent .

Ten primary commodities that drive deflation is onion, fish cork , air freight , sea bass , red chillies , fish kites , chicken, shrimp wet , squid , and chicken eggs .

Ten major commodities deflation is holding household fuel , gold jewelry , soup , cars , soup , rice , catfish , elementary school , Sepat siam fish , and beef .

According to its components , the goods whose prices are influenced by government policy ( administered goods inflation) generally experienced inflation of 1.30 percent , prices volatile ( volatile goods inflation) deflation of 3.66 percent and core components (core inflation ) inflation by 0.35 percent .
