Abstract

• In May 2018, South Kalimantan's NTP was recorded at 94.31, down 0.55 percent from April 2018 at 94.83. The decline in NTP is due to the price index received by farmers (It) only rose 0.05 percent, while the price index paid by farmers (Ib) rose by 0.60 percent.

• In May 2018 in rural areas South Kalimantan experienced inflation of 0.73 percent, where the price index rose across all subgroups with increases ranging from 0.22 to 1.13 percent.

• The exchange rate of agricultural domestic households (NTUP) of South Kalimantan in May 2018 was 102.31 or decreased by 0.17 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month which reached 102.48.

• Average price of grain quality of dry harvest (GKP) at the farm level fell by 1.74 percent, from Rp 4,820.12 per kg in April 2018 to Rp 4,736.40 per kg in May 2018. While the price of grain at the level milling fell 1.72 percent from Rp 4,917.68 per kg in April 2018 to Rp 4,833.21 per kg in May 2018.
